What this is made of.

Typefaces

Newsreader for display, Inter for text, Geist Mono for figures. All three are open-source and served through next/font, which self-hosts them at build time — no request goes to a font provider at runtime.

Imagery

Photographs are from Unsplash, used under the Unsplash licence and served from their CDN. They are referenced by ID in lib/images.ts, so this repository carries no image files and there is nothing to clear before a deploy.

Under every photograph is a gradient generated from the same slug by lib/artwork.ts, composited with an SVG grain layer. That is what is on screen while an image loads, and what remains anywhere an image has not been supplied.

To use your own photography, drop files into public/images/ and pass a src to the Artwork component, which overrides the lookup.

Next.js and React for the application, Tailwind CSS for the styling, GSAP with ScrollTrigger and SplitText for the motion, and Lenis for the smooth scroll.
